Immerse yourself in the budding Greek craft beer scene, explore two neighborhoods that locals love and catch some incredible views of the city! From hoppy IPAs to stouts and refreshing pilsners, the tasting experience will enlighten your palate and introduce you to the flavors of Greek craft beer.

Starting from Petralona metro station, we will explore the vibrant neighborhood and find our way to the first taproom of the evening. Here we'll be sampling a variety of brews crafted by local beer enthusiasts. While you sip and savor, we’ll fill you in on how beer came to Greece and how the craft beer scene started and has evolved over the years. Plus, you'll hear some cool stories about the locals who turned their beer dreams into reality by opening their own breweries.

We will then walk uphill to visit Philopappou hill, from where one can see as far as the sea. Against the backdrop of a breathtaking view, we will raise a toast to the beauty of Athens while sipping on a refreshing beer, setting the tone for a memorable evening ahead.

Our journey will continue to a second taproom, tucked away in a charming neighborhood known for its buzzing nightlife. You will mingle with fellow beer enthusiasts, savoring more tasty brews and engaging in lively discussions about the craft beer culture. After finishing, you will have a plethora of food spots and bars to continue your night. While tourists flock to the same ol’ tacky spots, you will be hanging out with the cool kids of the town. A wonderfully intimate evening with a fabulous guide who was a bonafide wine pro and also a local culture enthusiast who made us fall even more in love with Greece. Manolis organized wine and food pairings at some of Athen's local wine bars along a walk through funky, upbeat neighborhoods. Manolis took us on a 3 hour walking and food tour of Athens. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and overall a great guide. He took us around Plaka giving us many opportunities to try authentic Greek cuisine while telling us the story and culture behind the food we were trying. His passion for food and Greece was apparent the whole tour. The food tour was the highlight of our stay in Athens, we left full, happy, and with a greater appreciation for the Greek people and culture.

Emmanouil’s tour is like going out with a great friend versus an actual tour. He’s incredibly personable and very knowledgeable about food and beer. The spots he took us to were diverse, and the views were beautiful at sunset. He was a great story teller and I learned so much about Greece.
